Sometimes words are written not because you should read them, but because you should read what is between them. In the spaces.

The firm grip
Once held so tight
Is slowly slipping
A constant fight
His smile faked
Ready to crack
Searching for answers
What does he lack?
Vision fogged
No longer clear
Puzzling the thought
Which way to steer
Seams tearing
The lining unsealed
Hideous thing
Now revealed
Beneath the surface
Lies the truth
Here you have it
There's the proof
What you knew
Is really a lie
Now that's gone
Left to die

  1. Drew, you scare me sometimes. You know life isn't an epic unless you want it to be.
